Two crows symbolize balance and harmony. After Hurricane Helene brought so much destruction to the mountains we love we had to get back to making glass mountains. The purple stipple glass in the sky has its own wonderful illumination of a night sky. The frit cast the moon and feather stand way from the panel. David made the lamp work cabochon. The piece is surrounded in ribbed black iridescent glass with two very old ornate metal hinges in it. There are also two trichroic jewels in the border and an old metal finding I’m calling a crown on the middle of the top of the piece. There is a gorgeous slab of jasper and a sliced ammonite fossil in the glass mountains as well as tiny chunks of bedrock. 24 3/4”Wx 19”T with the crown it is 20”T
