Have you heard that a barn owl in your home symbolizes knowledge and good fortune? We wanted to honor the mountains we live with when we made this V sculpture. This barn owl is flying under the blue moon and over the Blue Ridge Mountains that we love so much. We cast the blue glass moon and the owls face, there are lamp work cabochons and some special trichroic jewels too. We used stipple glass for the blue ridge mtns and most of the other glass is blown glass by Fremont Glass including the pink sunset. We used Freemont’s blown cone tops for the back of the owl. We also frit cast the feather. 56 1/2”Tx 17”w standing on a 12” square welded base.
